Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where one can buy connectors for the datapac 1500 batteries?

I'm looking to rebuilt a pair of batteries but I'm one connector short.

Thanks

Elias

Try digikey or Minarik. Between those 2 you should be able to match something up.

The problem is the items at these sites are so small its hard to match up. There are 2 parts to the connector the crimped metal peices and the cover.

Oops, pic just popped up, now I see.

If you post dimensions, spacing between pins, I'll try to find a p/n for you.

A while ago I took a datapac battery to my local interstate store to see if they could make it cheaper. They now have a part # nic1167 for 1 sleeve (DP needs 2 sleeves) for about $23. I have used them and they work fine. I do not need $190 batteries fron Rockwell.

search nic1167

Not only that, but one of my customers bought the batteries from Rockwell and they must have been on the shelf too long. Both sets had one shorted battery.
Doc,
Could you send me the address for that store? We have two dataPACs that are our work horses. As far as I am concerned, the enpac is still not complete. And by the time it is (with all of the 'modules'!!!), no one will be able to afford it.

Mike Doc,

Does the battery packs that Interstate make have the small fuse inside that is in the original battery packs from Rockwell?

Thanks,

Does the battery come with new plugs or do you provide them? I have interstate build mine but they use the plugs off the old one I take in....

Don't know about the fuse.
Ron, just got to their website and use part # NIC1167, they wil come with the connectors.
Mike T. use the part # when dealing with interstate, they have these batteries in their system now.

No they dont come with the fuse. I just got a set in. I will have to install it myself. Kind of defeats the purpose. You dont want to run the collector without the fuses!!!!

Maybe myself or someone can convince them to add the fuses.
