I have some photos that I want to post but when I attach them as a .jpg file they appear huge on the page and make viewing a pain. When I copy them to a .doc file, the file size becomes so large that attaching and downloading takes forever.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Thanks,

Danny

Danny,
Do you have a photo program like MS Photo Editor? If so, open the .jpg and click on "image" at the top. Click on "resize" and change it to 800X600 dpi or 640X480 dpi and do a "save as."

Danny,

Here is a link to some freeware. Good little program.
Download. You can resize from it.

If your running XP, here's one BIll Gates has. Believe it or not, it's free too. Easier to use, just right click on the image, pick resize, tell it what size you want and it creates a duplicate image, resized.

Thanks guys.

I'm sure I will be able to muddle through it with one of these tools.

Danny:

My wife, who is very much a non-geek, loves Irfanview. You can do it.

I agree Danny, this Irfanview will shrink the picture down to about a postage stamp size.

I just installed the Microsoft Image Resizer powertool and it is awesome! Just right-click on any image file and it creates a smaller copy with a name automatically generated. So fast and simple. I like Irfranview but it is overkill for resizing images. Anything is overkill compared to Image Resizer.

Thanks for the link!

Rusty
