I took a bunch of data in analysis mode with a Entek DataPAQ 1500. I changed the name when ask "ANALYSIS_417 to blower 7" -etc. When I view them on the card they all show up as different routes or lists but when I down load them they all go the one machine under unscheduled. My FastTrack downloads the analysis into unscheduled but each spectra is under a machine I named --- What am I doing wrong on the 1500?

Look in your unload options (load/unload window) and see if "unscheduled smart location mode" is selected. Try downloading with this checked and again with it unchecked. Also make sure to choose "Unload all readings" under Data Options.

Mike,

Assuming you are using Emonitor Odyssey with the 1500, you have to set your Unscheduled Data destination in Odyssey not the DataPac. [[Don't know of anything else except IQ2000 with the protocols & that was long ago and far away for me. WinkI vaguely remember the setup being similar]

Select/Highlight the measurement point in the hierarchy where you want the data to go. then from the top menu...

<Tools>
<Set Unscheduled Destination>

Make sure what it shows you in the dialog box matches what you want. If so, click <CHANGE>...if not click <Cancel> and select the correct destination by highlighting it in the hierarchy and repeat the above steps. Make sure in the "Load/Unload" dialog under the "Unload" button you have "Unload all unscheduled Data" turned on and "Unscheduled Smart Mode" turned OFF[this is important-it may put it anywhere if you don't! Confused ! ]

Mike,

Sorry, I just realized that the question I answered was not the one you asked. Eeker

I have never seen the DataPac unload unscheduled measurements to anything BUT a Single Location[one or more Single Point MC as Entek calls them?] which you would have to rename in Odyssey. They may have since reworked the so-called "smart mode" selection in the unload dialog but I was cautioned by pre-Rockwell tech support that anything less than a perfect match in naming will result in the data being put "who knows where". Needle in the proverbial haystack and you don't even know which haystack.

Mike,

If you want to put the analysis data under a different name other than "single point MC",
then before collecting data, push the F1 key. This is the edit point key. Under that , you can name a plant, train, machine, point, position, and direction. As stated previously, DO NOT have smart mode turned on (it is dumb mode really)unless you have EXACTLY matched plant, train and machine. The smart mode was brought about when only the "Off route" analysis was available. Then when you went off route, all of the machine identifiers went with you. With the analysis mode, that is not the case. You are always starting with Plant, offtour train, machine, and single point MC.

Again, by pushing the F1 key, you can change all of that, and then find it in the place you designted in Odyssey to put all of your "off route" data.

Hope this helps,

Dave

Thanks to all.
I looked and the first line is the route name and that was all I changed. I used the times from the data still on the 1500 card to rename the readings in Odyssey. I won't forget to atleast change the Machine Name again.
