Can anyone help me with the bearing frequencies for an IBC 6212RSDCNM Ball bearing? It appears to be a standard bearing because some have been changed to Timken 212PP bearings. My CSI data base doesn't list any IBC bearings. It is on a reel stand for a printing press made in Germany.
There is also a 9ZU on the seal?

Thank You,
Ronnie

Ronnie-

Any chance you have the dimensions on that bearing? If so please email back to me. I should be able to assist you with frequencies from THE BEARING EXPERT.

Smartini,
Thanks. No I don't have the deminisions other than it's an IBC 6212 ball bearing.
Ron,
Yes, I thought it was but are all 6212 bearings created equal? I thought that 6212 determined the inner race ID and the outter race OD and width of the bearing but I thought the number of balls and possibly pitch diameter could vary. Not sure about the pitch diameter but I thought I had seen different number of balls for the same beaing size ie 6212 when looking up bearing info without a manufacturer's name, only the bearing number. I usually use SKF when I don't know the manufacturer's name. Anyway guys, thanks for the help.

Thanks,
Ronnie

Ronnie-
Yes you will find some bearings that are interchangeable will have a different number of rolling elements. Our report for 6212 is huge so I couldn't copy and paste for you. Go toThe Bearing Expert and perform your search. You will see that we list all the manufacturers that make a 6212. If your mfg isn't listed you will see that the frequencies for other mfg's are very close depending on the rolling elements. It is worth a look if you have a sec. Will also give you the harmonics

smartini,
Thanks, I visited the site. Based on the number of balls and some of the letters following the bearing number 212, the calculated BPFO and BPFI were considerably different although the majority were very close. I guess if you feel lucky, assuming it is an SKF is probably a good guess. I just like to take as much luck out of it as possible. So when it is available, I use as much information as I can including manufacturer's name and all lettering following the bearing number. I guess in this case, SKF would have been my first choice but they will eventually all be Timken bearings so I will set my fault frequencies to that. Oh well, it is guess Confused

Thanks,
Ronnie
