Hydro turbine vintage 1914 just refurbed running like magic. Next beside it is vintage 1920 it has just showed what worn to the too much leak status will indicate it was that bringing me to the site. 1920 vintage have never been refurbed and now the seal clearence btw. wheel and casing is 4mm and that seems to be too much it shakes like crazy at no of guide vanes x RPM. Just some perspective on long term operation. Olov

Danny,
I only feel like that once in awhile, then I get a odd machine balanced with the testweight or proven correct when saying a bearing is bad in a brand new motor and it´s found to be axially stuck when should be free to move, then I feel like the 20 year old or less I am inside.... |

By the way, Oli...
That generator was running fine when I left it in 1925. What have you done to it? Danny |

Utility used it 24x7 almost part from dry years for 86 years, that´s what I call MTBF. You must have been quite young then? Or was it a previous life you lived as a Swede?
