If I understood your question correctly, you are asking about a list of checks to consider when one is taking a vibration survey. Because this is a general question, so will be the answer.

1. The frequency of checks should be based on the probability of failure and the criticality of the machine.
2. The vibration limits must be reasonable.
3. Make sure your data is correctly and consistently acquired.
4. Consider other technologies in helping premature failures, i.e., oil analysis, infrared; and common sense observations i.e. abnormal noise, leakage, high pressure.
5. Some sudden failures are not predictable.

Are you taking case readings and or shaft reading. Also what vendor software/hardware will you be using.
