Dear Krishnan,

Are you new to this board, when you specify a vib problem on a machine, please come up with the relavent data like, vib spectrums, TWF etc.

1. At which location you are getting high vibrations
2. Is it from the hydro turbine or generator
3. Which direction the vibrations are high HVA...??
4. How old is this unit... history details..??
5. Do you have an FFT to take the vib signatures, if yes please post the data so that someone will help you.

It went from 3 to 6 mils in what time period? All anchor bolts tight with shaft sitting plumb?

Any special devices atop? All free and working; a hung ball can add a lot of 1X!

As all have stated; provide more info.

Cordially,
