I am new to Emerson CSI AMS Suite Machinery Health Manager software and to PeakVue. I have been conducting CBM for some considerable amount of years and have utilised gSe, HFD and enveloping as methods of detecting early faults in rolling element bearings. I would like to do a comparison between enveloping and PeakVue using the Emerson software and 2130 data collector, is this possible with this software package and if so how do you set up for enveloping in the CSI software.

Readings of PeakVue very from gSe in amplitude and also greatly in filters. For the most part I have used the 1000Hz HP set up for 2400CPM down to about 900CPM. 2000Hz HP above that. I have also recently seen someone use the 2000Hz HP on slow CPM machines and it worked very well. You'll have to play around with it some and I suggest acquiring spectrums with different filters and settings. Also it is recommended to go out 33xRPM and use the next highest LOR then normal.
