Hi it's the new guy again:
I am getting ready to take some readings on a gearbox. I have already figured the gear frequency's and was wondering if there was a place that you could get bearing frequency's from a web-site or if you had to figure them yourself. I have the advantage that I know what all the bearing part numbers are but can't seem to locate a place to find the frequency's of the bearings. Or am I just being lazy. |

Jason,
SKF has a frequency calculator at their website. You have to register to get to it but there is a lot of good stuff there. http://www.skf.com/portal/skf/home/aptitudexchange?contentId=237932&lang=en Hope this helps |

Jason,
The skf site is good and most manufacturers have similar sites. What Kind of software/hardware combination are you using. Most of the big three letter crowd have bearing databases built in to them. Tell us what you are using and someone will probably be able to tell you where to look. Danny |

I have the SKF MX Series Analysis and Reporting Module (Microlog) software and a MX Series Analyser. Thanks for the replies |

Hi Jason,
Do you mean reporting module is SKF machine analyst if so they have inbuilt database inside. Just click any point go properties and choose frequencies add/edit set frequency corresponding to the bearing. And view it in your spectrum by clicking frequencies over lay in tool bar Hope this will help you or other way around if you don’t have above said software just ask skf vendor for “SKF product interactive catalogue CD†(free of cost), which has frequency calculator as in website. You can refer. |
