Pcmcia cards with S-Ram
Has anybody had problems with formating cards
when you go to format the card in DOS
it will say that the type of file system is RAW
Please use /fs switch to specify the file system you wish to use on this system

If so what is /fs switch and how do you change file systems

Do yourself a favor. Make sure the card is empty and then use the dataPAC utility and follow the instructions to format the card in the dataPAC.

Here is the info that Rockwell gave us to format our dataPac 1500 and 1200 cards:

Here is the info for formatting the DataPAC card in DOS.
Go to start / run / CMD and press OK
type the following line:
format e: /FS:FAT
The e is the drive that our cardreader is assigned so you will have change this to match your configuration.
hope this will help.
