I hope you are not having the same problems with two row self aligning ball bearings that we are. Our problems are self inflicted installation defects stemming from too much drive up on tapered adapters. We have hundreds of them on one machine and our mechanics are very slow to accept that they cannot be tightened until they "feel right" or "until they ring". We use SKF and they have a very simple procedure and a simple tool (which we own) but acceptance is slow. If you are using tapered adapters you could be in the same boat so be sure to follow the manufacturers installation instructions to the letter.
