Yesterday, I collect data using my 2120/consultant and dumping into RBMWare 5.0. Fmax was 6000 cpm with 1600 lor and 1 average to give me a 16 sec twf.
Using those settings in an analysis parameter and collecting it as route data, it recorded and dumped a 16 second twf but the 4 events that I wanted to record would not show up. Going to Analysis Expert-User Set-up-Acquire Spectrum, I used the same settings and recorded a 16 second twf that clearly showed the 4 events. After dumping the data, I reviewed it and the 16 second twf in the route data was dumped in it's entirety but the analysis data twf was cut off at 4 seconds and shows as 1024 points rather than the 4096 that my setting and the display showed. Any ideas as to why it cut off my twf and how to get it back? Why didn't the events show up in the route data twf? Danny |

With RBMware I have run into similar problems. Check your periodic analysis parameter sets. which ever one your using look at what setting you have enabled for that point under the tab waveform parameters. Even though you are collecting a longer waveform, RBMWare will chop it down to store depending on what you have set under Number of points (1024)for instance. also if you have obtain special waveform checked it will save the waveform at what you have the number of points set at regardless of what you have you 2120 set to for waveform. I hope this makes sense and helps you to check your settings to fix your stored data within RBMware. =)

Torp,
Thanks for the advice. I set the AP set to collect a special twf to 6000 dpm and 4096 points and it did that. That may be the answer to the part where it didn't show the impacts during route data collection. Probably it collected the spectrum while the events were occurring and then collected the special twf afterwards. I still am confused as to why it would shorten the twf I collected as analysis data after the data was dumped. I viewed the twf before saving the data and it showed 16 seconds but when it dumped, the twf shows 1024 points and 4 seconds. Looking at utilities/change setup/operational parameters I see that I have waveform size set to 1024. Would that cause it to change a waveform that it collected a spectrum to 6000 cpm at 1600 lines from 4096 points at the time of collection to 1024 when it is dumped? The data is still in the data collector but can't be viewed as far as I know. Does anybody know a way to view analysis data in the data collector? Danny |

I found how to view the analysis data and it has been cut off in the data collector now so i suppose most of my data is no good.
This is one area where I would prefer a Datapack 1500. With that, you tell it how long a twf you want and it collects it. Too easy for CSI I guess. Danny |

Danny,
Is your meter set on 4096 or 1024? Look in setup and check this. May not be any of the problem but I think if the meter is set at 1024, that's what you get no matter what anything else tries to do. I may be wrong, but I would check it out. |

Danny,
We have ran into this also. Ralph is right, if you go into Utility, Change Setup, Operation Perameters, then type in 4096 you should get the full 4096 points instead of 1024 which should give you your four events in the waveform. Ronnie |

Ralph is right once again.
There is still an issue with the duration of the reading collecting route data, but I'll keep at it until I figure it out completely. Then I'll drive the 2 hours and collect the 8 waveforms again for free. Ah the life of the consultant. I believe the correct time is beer-thirty. Have a nice weekend and Cheers everyone. Danny |
