Can someone give me there opinion on this spectrum. It is a radial measurement taken on a gear box. The Gears are driven by a belt with the input gear shaft turning at 361rpm, I calculated the belt frequency at 120rpm. The spectrum has multiple frequencies spaced at 131.25cpm- so close enough I guess, its just the number of harmonics (if this is the bf) that is confusing me. Would this be normal or am I missing the point and the gears are the problem?

How many reductions are there in the box. Do you know the ratio?
What is the resolution of the spectrum? Is 11.25 within your resolution?

If it is indeed belt frequency, the amplitudes are low.

The resolution is 3200. The gear box ratio is 1:135.96 with I believe 2 gear wheels.

This was indeed the belt which had shed a number of teeth. Even with the low amplitude the belt was banjoed.Using a tacho the belt frequency was 130 and a higher resolution matched this up exactly.
