Hi guys,
I would like to purchase the ISO standards to evaluate the vibration severity on a piston pump. Which one do i use? ISO 2954:1975 - Mechanical vibration of rotating and reciprocating machinery or ISO 10816-6 - Reciprocating machines with power rating abone 100kW? Or is it something else? Thanks in advance! |

WooKP,
Apa Khabar! I'd say neither is appropriate as ISO-2954 refers more to measuring devices and procedures while, 10816-6 focuses on Recips per se excluding engines. However, ISO-10816-6 may be applicable in your case where, vibration evaluation for hydraulic power generating and pumping equipment. Cheers....Rajan Muthukrishnan |

Hi wookp,
In my case I have to monitore reciprocant compressors. I suggest you buy (if you can) the ISO 10816-1 wich contains the guidelines for measuring non-rotating equipments, the 10816-3 for machines with nominal power above 15 kW, 10816-5 for machines in power and pumping plants and the 10816-6 for machines above 100 kW. Cheers |
