Does anyone have the frequencies for a Fafnir 5407W Double Row Ball bearing?

I have some for 5407 and 5406c from rex, mrc and skf.
Know how many rollers? Danny |

I would suggest you contact a distrubtor and request them to provide the frequencies for you. Here are a couple of numbers I have for contact in Canada. Edmonton, Alberta TEL.(403)433-9590, Mississauga, Ontario TEL. (905)890-2033, and Doval, Quebec TEL.(514) 631-6757 hope these help.

I ran a search with the CSI data base using FAF 5407W and came up empty. But when I type in just 5407 I get 4 Fafnir and 4 torrington listings. So I did an internet search and found out Fafnir is made by Torrington. Three have the same calculated frequencies: #B/R 8, FTF .382, BSF 1.994, BPFO 3.053 BPFI 4.947. The numbers for the bearings were 203KDDZ10FA5. This number was on two of the Fafnirs and two of the Torrington. 203PPZ10FA54 was on one Fafnir and one Torrington. All of these bearings had the same frequency calculations. The other numbers were P304KC3FA540 which was on one Fafnir and one Torrington Had #B/R 7, FTF .368, BSF 1.757, BPFO 2.574, BPFI 4.426. I am not sure why my database gives me these bearing numbers unless possibly they match the numbers 5407. If you can count the number of balls in one row, one of these two calculations may be what you need. Sorry I could not come up with more specific match. The bearings you mention are not the same as the size Tim is asking about. The 203 bearings are a conrad style light series deep groove ball bearing shielded both sides with a 15 mm bore. The 304 bearings are a medium series with a 20 mm bore. Tim is looking for frequencies for a heavy series double row max style ball bearing. The max bearings have more balls than conrad styles and can handle around 50% more load. As for Fafnir and Torrington, Timken now owns them. The number of bearing companies gets smaller all the time. You can apply the 40%/60% rule by knowing the number of balls or if you have all the dimensions, you can use the defect frequency formulas to calculate the frequencies. Gary B |

Great formula! I just saw your post about calculating the # of balls or rollers in a bearing. BPFO + BPFI= #BALLS I'm searching for the bearing freq. of a couple of Dodge spherical roller bearings, we are using now, so I can update my Machine Analysis 3.1 database...May have to call the rep on this one.
