Hello all,

Does anyone has experience purchasing the new version of Emerson/CSI strobe kit?

In the beginning of this year, I ordered A444003, strobelight package, from Emerson. During the purchasing process, Emerson Singapore informed me that A444003 have obsolete and they replaced it with A0555-30 and A0555-30-IN. I tried to find some information about it in Emerson website, but found nothing.

I received the new version of this strobe kit this week. I found that the technical spec is lower than A444003. I also found that this new version is actually manufactured by Monarch instrument, it's called Nova Strobe Vibration Stroboscope, and Emerson still use the price for A444003 (around USD 4000) while Monarch's price is USD 2600.

My concern are why Emerson supply new version with lower spec than the obsolete one. The flash rate of A0555 is much lower, no fine adjustment for its flash rate.

At this time, I am still waiting Emerson's comment about this one.

Regards,
Andi

The Nova Stobe Vibration Strobe is not a new product, it has been offered by Monarch for use with both SKF and CSI and other analyzers for many years. When CSI stopped making their Strobe (likely because of component obsolescence), they had Monarch private label on the Vibration Strobe as Monarch also does for SKF.

So I guess this means the 444's that I have are no longer in production, and therefore more valuable than I thought? Smiler
