Hey Folks,

I am trying to find an alternate supplier for a customer. They have a fan that looks like a Twin City RBR Industrial Radial Paddle Wheel (but specs are slightly different). It is 37 inches in diameter with a 2-11/16 shaft bore. There are two set screws over the keyway and two struts on the back of each blade. The blades measure 16-1/2 inches wide.

My customer has been given a 3 weeks delivery time by their supplier (a filter company), but want it sooner.

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated!

Chris,

You could try Barron Industries that specializes in copying fan design and quick rebuilds. I have no affiliation with that company.

I like Chicago Blower a lot. Not sure how fast the turnaround would be on just a wheel. I work shutdowns at a steel mill with the Technos guys. They could probably build you one in a hurry, but it may be expensive.

Do it right.
Do it fast.
Do it cheap
Which 2 of the above do you want?

Regards,

Rusty

Hey folks,

Thanks for all the info so far. I have attached a picture of the fan in question.

I am getting closer to the OEM source, right now it is looking more like a Barry or American, but take a look and see it you recognize it.

I am waiting for more details from the manufacturers, but the physical dimensions seem to be correct.

(Rusty - you should know by now Cheap is never an option! Razzer )

Chris,

It seems to be a Howden Buffalo exhauster fan model:INX size:21. We have some fans like that here but smaller. Is the width of the wheel is 23½ in.?

Alec - Blade width is 16-1/2 inches.

Everyone - the situation is not closed, but we have enough players in the game now, that a solution seems very near. Thanks for all your help!

Take Care,
