I need to recommend someone to conduct practical, basic vibration analysis training in the US. Any suggestions?

Alert Analytical would be a good one. Alert will furnish names of clients, former and present, an outline of the courses they teach, Etc.

They have been even to this client's country to do training:

Earl,

Why don't you & Baxter do it? Too busy playing golf & riding the Harley?

We specialize in practical classroom and computer based training for vibration and alignment, and implementation startup services. We follow ISO 18436.2 and ASNT SNT TC-1A. When you attend our course, we will send you a copy of the CD with the materials/slides/animations used during the course so you can study before you attend the course. Our methods are much more effective for learning and retention. The pre-study materials and animated, interactive nature of all of our course materials and classroom style have been well accepted as the new way.

Let me know if you have questions. I can send you a long list of satisfied customers.

Thanks and good luck!

I guess it's tough to compare if you haven't been to them all. I have never seen a course from the others above. I have seen Ralph Buscarello introductory course and it was practical and well-received at our site:
