I was wondering if there was a possibility of re-creating the Employment and Used Equipment Forums like there were in the Reliability Magazine site.

Thanks to Terrence O' for hosting and keeping this new site commercial-free.

Danny - thanks for your kind words. We are working on some site enhancements to add functions like chat and to increase speed as well. Stay tuned.

The reason we did not add a jobs board is that we already host an entire site dedicated to maintenance and reliability positions here:
http://www.reliabilityresumes.com/

As for used equipment, we are starting to support eBay auctions because of the wide reach they have bring extraordinary benefit to buyers and sellers.

For example if you visit the Vibration knowledge base page at Reliabilityweb.com you will find a pre-formated link to current ebay vibration analysis systems for sale (scroll down to the bottom of the page):
http://www.reliabilityweb.com/fa/vibration.htm

The same for ultrasound here:
http://www.reliabilityweb.com/fa/ultrasonic.htm

Infrared:
http://www.reliabilityweb.com/fa/infrared.htm

Etc...

I am fine with users of this forum posting equipment for sale in the appropriate discussion areas as you can also post a photo.

I just think eBay is a better option for buying or selling equipment.

I buy a lot of stuff on Ebay, but I bought quite a bit off the old Reliability board as well. The difference is, on a board, I can sell it to whoever I want to.... maximum $$ is not always my concern. For instance, I buy stuff on Ebay all the time that "duplicates" what I already have and like using, just so I can offer it to other vibration folks that I know (and like). Just a thought.

Rusty

Looking in multiple locations for information about the same thing is a pain. Is there anyway the different addresses you list can be a selection in the bulliten board list? I think the employment and for-sale sections on the old board were a great idea and would also like to see them back. I sell and buy from Ebay but the regulars on the board are different. I have developed a trust and would prefer to sell to one of them or buy from one of them. It is kinda like a guy in your office saying "I was going to list this on Ebay but if you want it I let you have it without the hassle".
