Thanks, Sam. I would have been surprised if you and others did not use Excel to calculate alignment moves, instead of plotting on graph paper. If I had a portable computer, that laser alignment thing would seldom leave my locker.

My spreadsheet helps you with bolt and base bound situations, but I haven't yet added thermal growth to it.

On complex machines I still like plotting and filing hard copy. It is a good record for all and future work. You may be retired when it's worked on next.
