Just by looking at this picture could something be concluded in your opinion in regards to teeth profile?

The top gear is either badly worn or another tooth profile altogether. Danny |

looks like somebody had a gear made that would fit in "the hole" to keep the machine going without any consideration for gear design?

Dave, the bottom gear appears to have been produced on a shaping machine using a single point tool. ( by someone who had forgotton to wear their glasses )

Hi Dave! Bet you can't guess who this is.
It looks like the top gear is a cut out that wasn't finished machining. Did you get this out of an actual machine as a running pair or are you just spoofing us? |
