We have a couple of 2120's that have a problem. They want to freeze up during a route and the only way to unfreeze them is to reload the firmware and go again. At least, that is the only way I can see to do it. Could a hangup on the "enter" key do this and why would a firmware reload fix it? They are under contract and are going back to be repaired but one of the units has been in 3 times in the last year for the same problem.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes--we have had that problem--what a pain! The last time we sent ours in it seemed to have taken care of the issue. It still does occasionally "freeze;" but turning the 2120 off and then on again usually gets it going again. Good luck!

Aubrey,
We had that problem with our 2 2120's. it took 2 times of sending them back to fix them, but after the second time, they seem to work OK. Its been about a year now and we haven't had the problem since. We usually had to take the battery out to restart it. One time we had to re-install the firmware.

I had the same problem yesterday.....I turned it off then on, no difference, off and on again then it worked.

When it froze for the second time, I turned it off and on twice it worked fine for the rest of the route?????

If happens again I think I'll have to send it in.
