Dear all,

We are using the DAIU 208P, ADRE ver 3.3 with compaq notebook over 4-5 years. Recently we found the notebook is out of order and can not find another one to replace in the market. Does anyone have experience for this matter ?

Besides, what is the Bently Nevada websie ? is the www.bently.com out of service ??

regards and thanks

kk

JazzChan,

We at BN have used for quite some time IBM laptops with ADRE. You have several issues to consider; first of all you should consider upgrading your ADRE to the current version which is 5.11 with service pack 1. The list of improvements/corrections over 3.3 is very extensive, but as a minimum the newer version will allow the collection of 2560 vector samples and 256 waveforms.

If there is any brand you don't want to consider it is probably certain Dell PC's that don't support an EPP parallel port configuration through the bios. This is essential for communication with the 208P. A Quatech SPP-100 PCMCIA card can be used with some Dell's but not all.

I suggest you contact your local Bently representative and they can advise you better what to do.
