Batteries for my old Ultraprobe 2000 are shot. Does anyone know what voltage this unit operates at. I could probably rig up a temporary battery, but I can't find what voltage it operates at. Does anyone know?

Regards,

Rusty

Have any of you purchased "after-market" replacement batteries for this unit?

Rusty,

There are a couple stores near here that re-build battery packs. It doesn't matter what they are for, as they re-use the cables, connectors and any other pieces to re-build the pack. This can sometimes result in increase performance as they may have better batteries than were available when the pack was originally built.

I've seen some ads for places doing this mail-order too. If you can't find a place, let me know and I'll dig up some info.

Rusty,

You can go to just about any of the battery franchises and they will make it up or you can probably identify the cells and buy them from Newark Electronics and make it yourself.
