Do any of you live in Guatemala, or work there with any regularity?

I ask because my wife and I have both been on mission trips there in the last year and have fallen in love with the people and the country. I can see us spending lots of time there when we retire in a few years. I am wondering if there is any "income" opportunity for someone in our line of work there.

I have several friends that have spent a lot of time there working on power plant problems. Right up your alley I expect, and I am sure they would love to have someone local rather than calling in people from the States...

I am helping a new service company close to start in El Salvador. The working area will be El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. The main problem is the lack of trained and experienced people there in vibration analysis. There are just few weak companies working on that giving not good results to customers.
