So do you want each of us just to upload all our available information to the site? It would take for ever.
We always have been prepared to "share" almost anything ! When someone posts a "specific" question or request, we respond! Been doing it for years!

I don't actually have any "E" books but, after forty years in the business, I do have dozens of ordinary books on all sorts of subjects from which I can scan and supply information as and when required.

Rather not get into an email exchange on this subject thank you. Anything to be said can be said in the forum so that everybody knows what's going on.

Cheddar,I am sorry.I am offering what I have.
I have two vibration analysis books (hard copy) by IRD.This was being given free to users of IRD instruments.I have scanned the entire book (as PDF)spending several days because I have only a simple falt bed scanner. This book is for beginners. The book was published in 1980-1985.I can exchange it.It can be send a few pages at a time.It will take several e-mails to send the entrie book section by section.

Since the board is allowing this thread, I guess all the information is copyright free, or you own the copyright. Otherwise, it appears that the board would be conspiring to break copyright laws.

Pete, thank you for your positive feedback.

I guess, in this and in many other threads, the negative feedback “to share” comes as a response to the tone of the request/question not to the request/question itself. Many members in this forum share their experience/resources openly and in many occasions without a request. On the other hand, there are always people who love to take and hate to give.

To “share” my 2C, I’ll add a few links to the thread suggested by Pete.

Why and when the name change Ali?
Is this following the death of Sheikh Isa and his son Hamed taking control?
I had a GREAT relationship with Isa - he was a great little guy with a wicked sense on humour. I was involved with Isa Town and the (what was) the new airport.
I believe all thre beach house etc has closed and even the BAPCO beach??

Eugene and Caveman,

Thanks for your interest in knowing more. I guess I confused you by saying "I'm based in Qatif- used to be called Bahrain" without details.

Currently, what was known as the State of Bahrain (Two Seas) is the Kingdom of Bahrain and this transition was announced a few years ago. The oasis of Qatif (Easy Harvest) is a costal part of Saudi Arabia.
Historically, Qatif is the complementary part of Bahrain and in many eras both lands were considered a single region. Old maps/documentations called the region Bahrain while others at other ages called it Qatif.
Bapco (an oil company) is in Bahrain. Aramco (a giant oil company) operates in Saudi Arabia- most of early national workers were from Qatif.

So the “Bahrain” you know is still there; I was referring really to older times when Qatif was called Bahrain.

Sorry for being off the main topic of the thread.
