Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can provide me with some indicative costs for fin fan pulleys (sheaves) and belts.
Anyone know how long it takes to replace these things and how many people are required. Assume these fans are positioned at ground level and a hard stand is present.
Thanks in advance
Steve

I'm not sure I understand what a "fin" fan pulley is, but if it is a regular sheave with spokes, then the cost will depend of course on the size. For an example, I recently purchased 12 different size pulleys for 6 fans and motors. They were Browning sheaves, and I reused 10 of the 12 taper adaptors. The total cost for the 12 pulley and 2 adaptors was $1164.00. The cheapest sheave was $60.00 (2B5V48 - 2 groove, B/5V belt wedge, 4.8" pitch Dia.)
The most expensive for me was $179.00 (3B5V184).
These were purchased from Graingers.
Belts can be had from numerous sources. I found some GoodYear cog Matchmaker 5VX1230 (123" OD) belts at one place (MSC) for $112.00/ each, and found the same belt for $60.00 at another (BDI). so you need to shop.
I spent a little over $1200.00 for 24 Belts of varying lengths.
It took anywhere from 1.5 hour to 2.5 hours to change out both sheaves, align them, check runout, and balance the fan. This was on air handler units on the ground with fairly easy access, and I have the tools necessary for the job. The lockout is also within seeing distance, so there is no time lost there.

I'm not sure whether this is what you are looking for, as again, I'm not sure what a "fin" mount is, Confused but it should give you an idea.
