Naratama, I can tell you what I have done here to a certain extent. I do not calibrate my equipment because we are not a nuclear facility or a refinery where critical safety is a factor but I do several things to ensure my system is functioning properly. First, as well as monitoring vibration, I also monitor the gap voltage output of the accelerometers. Each one is different but the output is between 9 and 12.5 volts depending on the manufacturer and the quality of the sensor. If a sensor goes outside this range, there is an alarm to trigger inspection of the sensor. A damaged cable can be the problem. Second, on a weekly basis, I reboot the stations that display the vibration data in the control rooms of the machine. Third, monthly, I reset the processors. As far as standards for vibration levels to be monitored you would need to get a copy of ISO 10816-3 (copyrighted) to set your levels unless you have been sufficiently trained to set them yourself. The ISO document can be helpful. I don't use prox probes so I can't help you there. ensing-dot-ron-at-irvingtissue-dot-ca |
