Hi.
I’m interested to have feedback/comments from people using the advance analysis softwares from CSI: 1. ADVANCED TRANSIENT ANALYSIS PROGRAM 2. VibPro. My intention is to decide if it is suitable for us to purchase or not. According to the details on the brochures, 2120 seems to work as a digital recorder and player in addition to providing the analysis feature on this recorded vibration capture. The second one will perform the same but on the RBM base environment. We’ve RBMware and standard analyzers/accessories from CSI. Though ADRE is available with us, I feel it is not handy for small machines or quick data collection or high resolution features. Please advise. Thank you. Ali M. I use the Advance Transient Program on machines that have quick cycle times some as fast as 6 sec. It works well for me. I don't use it very much but when I need it and set it up right it works well. It is a little pricey and you can't set it up on a route. Other than that no complaints. Dan Rains |

Dear Ali, the transient comes from the old times when CSI had a two card 2 channel analyser for a PC. I have used it a lot on fast stopping machinery (Sundstrand LMV 311 plotting and finding the critical speed as example) as well as slow processes (such as train locomotive torsional/base resonance gearbox problems). It is next to perfect and very flexible and portable. As you know, I did sell CSI until 1999, when Emerson took it back. So I have no affiliation with CSI. I would suggest you ask for a time limited demo. Best regards Arne
