I was wondering if any other C.S.I. user's have seen this issue with their databases before. For some unknown reason all the measurement points got all mixed up.Usually this is a a pump moh, mov, moa, mih, miv, pih, piv, pia, poh, pov turned into mih miv mia pih piv pia poh pov.fans where moh, mov, moa, mih, miv, fih, fiv, fia, foh, fov turned into fia, fiv, fih, fov, foh mih, miv, mia, moh, mov.this was really weird.so i shut down and rebooted.then any datbase i tried to open said no data availible.Almost hemoraged on that statement.I ran db fix and then put alllll the measurement points back to their normal order in database set-up.So far everything is staying as it should be.Always make sure you do your back-ups!!!!

Lee,
Just food for thought. Are you network or stand alone. If stand alone, don't know what to say, if network try cutting the administrators fingers off one by one. Worked for me.................................Just kidding. I've been snafued a couple of times here recently, and like you said BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP YOUR DATABASES. Other than losing 2 days worth of blood sweat and tears, Everything was recovered back to normal. It's scary when your looking at the screen, it winks at you, then when you click on a piece of equipment it tells you no points defined. You then click a route and you get no equipment assigned. kinda makes you cringe, especially when you know you were just looking at a healthy database with 1000+ pieces of equipment and @ 8000 +/- measurement points, not to mention all the lost data.
kind regards,

I hear ya Roy.We have had issues with not being able to do back-ups cause our database is to big for the tape drive we have. The last partial backup was in march of 05 I had a partner who at the time was totaly turned off of predictive mtc,and did not give a hoot as to what shape the database was in.I am going to the powers that be this morning and hold my breath until I pass out if thats what it takes to get a cd burner. If you don't hear from me again it's cause I lost and and the sign says do not resusitate.LOL

Mine jumps around, changes dates. You have to look close at every spectrum's date as the previous one may be 1 FEB 6 but the next will be 1 JAN 6 which causes you to go back a step and select the current date and display the spectrum?????????????? But there are a number of issues similar to that. I try to live with it as if one is fixed seems something else always jumps up so as long as I can put up with it and not get burned I try to put up with it.

Cordially,
Sam
