What to chose for analyzer, Ludeca Vibxpert 2ch (cca 18.000 Euro), SKF 2ch (cca 25.000 Euro) and 01db 2 ch (cca 15.000 Euro), database software included?

What to chose and why, my preference go to Ludeca price/performance...

Enrique,

Have you asked the local vendors for an equipment demostration? It's really important to get a feel for the equipment before making such an important decision. Put the box on, see if it feels confortable, walk around with it a little bit. In a way its like buying a pair of shoes.

Also, if possible, ask them to show you the software. The software should appear logical and easy to use to you.

01db is the less in dimension and has not to do polished software, SKF and vibxpert fits good in the hand and has nice software. Skf use asseveration specter for bearing diagnostic, Ludeca acceleration and SPM...Why to give more for something that I can get the same for less money...I know that SKF has good support and terning but I am not sure for Ludeca...

Enrique,

I've heard good things about the alignment equipment from ludeca. I haven't heard anything (good or bad) from their vibe analysis equipment though.

I've used the micrologs from the CMVA series and they are nice boxes. Their support is good too. Battery life could be better though.

Hardware filters and envelope detectors are an issue when choosing the collector.

Where you can get the training and for how much will also be an issue.

The color screen and two channels are nice, but only if you can afford them and really need them.

Have you also considered CSI, Entek and Commtest?

CSI, Entek and Commtest, for those I am not sure, I do not have an experience around me with them, I would like to have one of mentioned before but I am not sure, support is very important. Just for the same amount the money what to chose...they are all good...all in the same class... Thanks

CSI is high class. Some of the best around. Great analyzer adequate software semi user friendly.
Commtest has adequate analyzer, light weight and easy to use. Software is very user friendly, all Windows based.
If money is not an issue then CSI would be the way to go. Commtest is probably the best bang for the buck. I have used both and this is only my opinion.
How much experience do you have and what type of equipment will you be responsible for analyzing.

My opinion goes with Vibeguy2004, have also used botn, CSI and Commtest, and think the same: Commtest is the best for the buck but not necessairly the best.
