Hello all,
Does anyone know if there is a program available to project the 2130 data collector screen using a PC. I will be giving a class on the 2130. I know I could do it with the 2120 and was curious about the 2130.

I've never seen anything. You can use a camcorder and project the image from there.

The 2130 has to have the back plate modified and a small VGA adapter added. I believe Emerson will do this for you, but it will lose its IP rating.

thanks for the replies.
Patrick,
I'll have to see if they will let me bring a cam corder to the job or bring the data collector home with me. But good idea none the less.
Hi Bill,
New to this job so don't know if they will go for the modifications but will let them know. When did you leave CSI. You were the instructor for the first vibe class I ever attended @ 9-10 yrs ago. It was the balance class. You definititely got your stuff together. Still remember the Navy story about the sub and fishing boat. Take care and thanks for the reply. Best of luck with Mobius. I've used their iLearnvibe CD for training. Excellent product. I'd like to talk my employer into purchasing the training CD.

Small world Ray. I spent about a year testing all the motors >25HP at Cross Gen, Station when they built Unit One 15 years ago. Ask them about the start up of the circulator pump. One of our guys was up top with the accels and almost got thrown off when it started and the valve was only 10% open! 125,000 GPM slamming into the valve bent the 16" shaft and delayed the startup.

Come to one of our Mobius training courses, I promise I won't tell too many submarine stories... Is Theresa still there? Ask her how a running soft foot test on a PA fan shut down Unit 2 a long time ago.

Good luck at the new position.

I took the Level 1 class at CSI under Bill. Great instructor! I wish him well at Mobius, too. We use the ILearn curriculum here for training and reference and it is a valuable tool.

P.S. Bill also let us in the class know about this board. Thanks!

Bill,
Good to hear from you. Talk about small world, first job I was involved with when I started back in March was pulling both the unit 1 circ water pumps for refurbish during an outage. Massive equipment. I've heard about how they "rocked and rolled" when they were first started. I actually witnessed one of them jump @ 3 feet in line with the discharge piping when they started it up. Didn't have the discharge valve open far enough. It was scary to see 80,000 lbs of motor and pump assembly jump like that. Would love to attend a Mobius course. Can you e-mail me a contact or quote for the trainer CD email is vibeguy1atpeoplepcdotcom.
Richard,
I have to agree that Bill is an awesome instructor. I used the iLearn cd for training 3 individuals the last 5 weeks at my former place of employment. Excellent tool.
Kind regards,

Bill,
Would it be possible to share the "running softfoot test" story?
