I took readings on a fan with a Bentley Nevada 500mv/in/s Seismoprobe. In the software, I configured my transducer and used the Generic non powered option at 500mv (Calibration screen). I programmed Mils, Velocity and Acceleration. The mils and velocity readings look good (and correct, Mils integrated properly)but the acceleration readings are velocity readings (spectra are identical). They did not integrate. Why would this be? I can manually convert the velocity spectra in the software to obtain a G reading but would rather get it from the collector. The software units were set at g's.

Jbalko,
You can't read g's from from a velocity transducer (500mv/in/s). The software will do the differentiation for you, but the collector can't. D |
