We have gotten 2130's for our program. I was using 624 adapters to take standard vibration and peakvue readings at the same time. Is the new connector on the top of the box a better way to hook up for this? I would really like to get rid of the extra adapter if I could. Being a newbie and such I have found it is tooooo easy to leave the 624 in the office and have to go back to get it.

Are you pulling data off of a Bently panel? Is that why you are using the adapter? You can get a BNC to Turck cable made up and use that instead of the connector. You just need to make sure the grouping is set up correctly.

Thanks, thats the kinda information I needed. We only pull of Bentleys when we go to the power house. We were using old 2120's before so we had the 624's. At least thats how I understood it.

Does anyone know what the pinouts are?

Aubrey

I found the cables on CTC site. Read the sig. It fits.

Still learning the hard way.

We bought a bunch of them straight from Turck.

We still use an adapter for some applications. We still have the adapters we used with the 2120 as well. The cables I have I purchased through CTC. I personally like the light duty 10 foot coiled. Seems light enough and has just the right stretch for most applications. The six footer gets a little tight in areas.

Jason,

Is there any other group/channel setting I should know about other than the standard dual point measurement group channel settings?

Aubrey,
Start the groups at 20 just like for the 2120, but make all of the dual channels 1. You can use the Euro-fast (Turck) and it will take the dual points simultaneously, or you can use the 624 split input adapter and it will do it too, or you can use the adapter with the A and B channel (628??) and it will take simultaneously too. You can use the same adapter for cross-channel phase and single/split simultaneous collection. I still use the 624 just for ease of use. It's much easier to take the BNC off if I want to change to a longer cable or to take it completely off when I get back to the office. The Eurofast takes longer to get off since it is threaded, but it works better if you are getting drowned in the press section.
