Ronnie Lynn,
You had a post, http://maintenanceforums.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/119103451/m/360103971 ,on another section of this forum. Did you ever have a resolution to this issue. Thanks, Matt |

Matt,
Yes. This is an offset print press roll and it is the blanket roll. A used blanket was put on this particular roll and apparently it was stretched. The April plot is the same as the one posted on the old board and the July plot is after changing the blanket. This showed up on several rolls after that and when the blankets were changed, it went away. It appears to be some looseness in the blanket but it had not affected print quality yet. Also if you looked closely at the old post, there are some added numbers in the machine name. When we swithched from mastertrend to rbmware, our reports quit printing in the order of the data base and started printing in numerical/alphabetical order. So I added some numbers and made it print back in order of the data base. Sorry for not following up on this one. When I swithed from the old board to the new one, there was very little activity on this board for a few months. I am real glad so many people started showing up here and taking such interest. Anyway, I guess I let it slip but thanks Matt for asking. Thank You, Ronnie Peakvue_on_Press_Roll.doc (27 Kb, 18 downloads) |

Sorry, I thought I had deleted the other one and saved the one with the RPMs marked. Here it is with the RPMs marked and these harmonics are multiples of turning speed.

Ron,
You said you had .3in/sec in Peakvue spectrum,it should be Acc <-- Acc in the parameter setup to give you a acceleration (g`s) spectrum. You my want to check how you are setup to collect the peakvue data on the other points. |

Brian,
Thanks for the input. I think that was a typo or my inexperience with Peakvue at the time. I was just learning how to use Peakvue but I do use acc <-- acc only with Peakvue and all readings posted were in acc, before and after. I am using Peakvue a lot now, mostly slower speed equipment. I guess my biggest question now is what's the proper filter for the different applications. I guess it is like anything else, the more you use it, the better you understand it. Anyway, Have a great weekend, Ronnie |
