The Simplified Handbook of Vibration Analysis:
Vols. I and II - Crawford ($150/175)

Is this what you are referring to? If so, then no, you will not find them online. You'll have to purchase them, just like the rest of us did. Somewhat expensive, but probably worth it. But if I could only buy 1 or 2 books, I'm not sure these would be the ones.... not sure what my first purchase would be if I were starting from scratch.

Regards,

Rusty

In the past we had 2 books @ CSI:
-Fundamentals of vibration
and
-Advanced vibration analysis

If I'm still right, you had to follow the training @ CSI to get these books. For this moment, I don't know what you have to do to get these books.

All the best and my best wishes for 2008 to all of you!

I think Ron Eshlemen's Basic Machinery Vibrations book is a very good starter and you can get a soft cover version for $55. Art Crawford's books are great but pricey and like Rusty said, I don't know if they're suitable for beginners. I've always questioned Art's definition of "Simplified". If you're going to invest in Art's books you need to buy them both. Jim Taylor has written three books (Vibration, Bearing, and Gear Analysis) that have a lot of good info in them. All of these choices are available at the Vib Institute website.
