That is one big recip.Good job for Slow Speed Technology. It sure does take a big gulp of fuel at max speed. Imagine the size of the tourque wrench for those head bolts. All I can say is EekerI think my flashlight dropped into the crankcase.No problem just take elevator B to the crankcase and once you are down there hop on the seguay and have a look around.

I worked on a similar Sulzer RTA engine but much smaller. It was only an 8-cylinder 33,000 shaft hp at 80 rpm direct drive to a 30-ft diameter propeller on the Exxon VALDEZ tanker. Engine vibrations were OK, but hull had a slight crack (remember Alaska oil spill)!
