Gentlemen:
I am monitoring a 250HP GE Vertical Pump Motor. The nameplate information lists the bearing numbers as: Upper - #629A228G4 Lower Guide - #2892334P24 Obviously GE #'s - Anyone have a way to convert these bearings to SKF numbers? Thanks, DDog |

Hi DDog,
The book I have lists the 629A228G4 as a 7228 bearing assembly. Four bearings assembled duplex tandem. The 2892334P24 is a 6224 bearing. Good Luck, Sean |

Out of curiosity, what kind of book is that? I haven't seen those Westinghouse and GE OEM part number conversions anywhere.

The book we used to use in my nuke days was a 2-volume set, pretty big. It was called the International Bearing Interchange Guide (IBI) and it had everything, including GE and I think Westinghouse. A real lifesaver.

Sean,
Appreciate you taking time to convert the bearings for me. I am on the road and do not have my conversion books with me. Thanks, DDog |

I have an old GE interchange guide from many years ago. The book not me.
