That is what it says on the housing of the bearing. It is a double roll bearing. 2 15/16 shaft. Any advise will help. Thanks for your time.

I have a listing for a FSAF517. I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for but the info is:
#B/R = 19 FTF = 0.433 BSF = 3.664 BPFO = 8.227 BPFI = 10.773 Hope this helps. |

SKF shows a SAF 517 housing with a 1217 bearing
CSI database freq for skf 1217 bearing, #b/r = 21 ftf = .440 bsf = 4.084 bpfo = 9.231 bpfi = 11.769 |

Did you try SKF's Website?

The SKF SAF517 housing can accomodate:
1.) an SKF 1217 which is a self aligning ball bearing: Inner race defect frequency (BPFI) 11.760 Outer race defect frequency (BPFO) 9.240 Cage defect frequency (FTF) 0.440 Ball spin frequency (BSF) 4.081 Rolling element defect frequency 8.162 2.) an SKF 22217E which is a spherical roller bearing: Inner race defect frequency (BPFI) 11.963 Outer race defect frequency (BPFO) 9.037 Cage defect frequency (FTF) 0.430 Ball spin frequency (BSF) 3.481 Rolling element defect frequency 6.962 3.) an SKF 22217C which is a spherical roller bearing: Inner race defect frequency (BPFI) 10.772 Outer race defect frequency (BPFO) 8.228 Cage defect frequency (FTF) .433 Ball spin frequency (BSF) 3.628 4.) an SKF C2217 which is a CARB bearing- a torroidal roller bearing: Inner race defect frequency (BPFI) 10.786 Outer race defect frequency (BPFO) 8.214 Cage defect frequency (FTF) 0.432 Ball spin frequency (BSF) 3.625 Rolling element defect frequency 7.250 |

When in doubt, use the rule of thumb
inner race defect frequency is 6 x rpm outer race defect frequency is 4 x rpm or estimate the number of balls and bpir is 60% of #balls bpor is 40% of # of balls 9balls x .6 x 1800rpm = 9720 bpir 9balls x .4 x 1800rpm = 6480 bpor ensing-dot-ron-at-irvingtissue-dot-ca |
