Hello all,
I am trying to get a circ water pump on our new unit set-up in rbmware. GE motor 3000 hp, name platedata shows de bearing is 200bc10x and oe bearing is 176ts94 (I think, I left the paper I had this written on at work). The first bearing follows an old pattern ie 70bco2 where you divide the first # by 5 to get the last 2 numbers, 6 will be the 1st # and 2 is 2nd giving you a 6214. How do I decipher the 200bc10X or is that an actual bearing. I'm lost with the oe#. Thanks for the assistance.
Kind regards,

Roy,

I seem to remember that Torrington had a series of bearings with numbers like XX TS XX, I think they were (are) a thrust bearing of some type. If you can lay your hands on a Torrington Catalog you may find that number. 200BC10 is a strange one too, if it was 200BC01 it would be an extra light series conrad with a 200 mm bore...6140?? I kinda doubt there is a such thing as that.

D,
I think you may be right about a thrust bearing. This is a vertical pump, 135,000 gpm. I'll try torrington when I go back Monday. I did find a 200bc10 bearing in the csi database and if memory serves me right it was also a torrington bearing. thanks for the reply. Sorry I don't have any more info but like I mentioned I forgot to grab the info while I was hurridely (sp) trying to get out the door.

I think TS would be a spherical roller thrust bearing.

The torrington nomenclature shows TS being for a tapered roller bearing. Tapered Single row. The 176 may be read as the actual bore or approximate bore. In this case 17.625". Wow, that's big. the 94 represents a specific size cage assembly. Hope that helps.
