I know there is a way to change the VOltage limits for the datapac but dont know how. One of my sensor bias' puts the range just above the datapacs 12 volt range. The 12volt limit can be adjusted somewhere like and ini file? Anyone know?

You can change voltage fault limits in the "Data Collector..." tab in "Setup" menu or in the "Advanced data collector setup" in the Emonitor folder.
You must log in with a Supervisor- or Administrator-level user name and password to make any changes to the data collector settings. As I understand it will only affect on the transducer fault disappearance. Please find attached screenshot. Be sure to set "yes" in the left column to be able to change parameters for your DP1500. |

Joe,
What Emonitor version do you have? I have v3.20. Sorry, probably I could not help you with the earlier version. Alexander |

If you are using an Odyssey version before 3.0, I don't believe you have the "advance" option Alexander is showing in his post. You can change the Fault High values by the following process in the dataPAC:
Go to the Setup Utility in the dataPAC. Select -- F1 (Setup Category) Select – Transducer Options If “Generic Accelerometer” is installed select – F4 Edit (Xdcr), If not, install the "Generic Accelerometer" Arrow down to “Fault High” and change the value to 15 volts Select – F1 (Save) You will have to do this every time to format the card or reboot the data collector. Hope this helps, John J |

Guys,
Not the "advance option" but the way to do it may be different in a previous versions. "Advanced data collector setup" shortcut (devconf.exe in the Emonitor folder). Regards, Alexander Doc2.doc (76 Kb, 12 downloads) |

Yea, dont have those options in my version. In the collector, if you change the setting it will only work while in off route. As soon as you go back to on route the software overrides the setting.

jbalko,
You are right if you are using a defined accelerometer. If you are using the default accelerometer (generic 100 mV/g), the settings should hold. If they don,'t maybe the generic accel setup has been altered. John J |

I made a new collection param. for generic acc. Then reset the voltage in the data collector. This seems to work. We will see how it works in real life next chance. This is better than what I was doing. I was taking off route data and copying it to the machine.
