Does anyone have any experience with the above equipment? It is used to monitor the temps of cement kilns. Gives you a rotating thermal image of the kiln shell.

How many to be installed to monitor a rotary kiln? ANy article to describe its function?

Though I don't know that brand name, my guess is that it is a line scanning system. This device measures radiometric temperatures on line along the length of the kiln and, as the the kiln rotates, assembles the series of lines into an image. If properly installed and working, these can give great data about the condition of the refractory over time.
