Dear Mr. Snell, It seems as if your own employees also do not understand ASNT or Certifiaction. I just came across the following signature (out of respect to you and your employees I will only Initial the name. But you can check multiple posts on your own message board and notice this signature. Even the most recent one this week). J. K. Reliability Technician Level II ASNT The Snell Group XXXX East Stop XX Road, Suite X Indianapolis, Indiana XXXXX United States Tel: +1.317.XXX.XXXX Fax: +1.317.XXX.XXXX This post is not meant to embarass you or your employees but simply goes to show that the topic of Certifiaction and Advertising your credentials improperly can also be done by the most experienced persons who also have gotten the training. It's always a good thing to monitor your employees who represent your name. People, please, if you do not know what you are, then don't put anything after your name. Making you name look good can end up with big liability issues. Dr. Voltron Phd. Infrared Thermography MD. Thermal Infrared DDS. See Through Panels IR Inspector ASNT Level 5 Short Wave Thermographer with LW Imager. |

Thanks. A great way to end the week. Like I said, "...but it does happen!"

Well, he didn't say he was certified by ASNT.
Presumably, he was certified under a program that meets the requirements of ASNT's standard. Guess he could have said "Level 2 certified under a program complying with ASNT Standard SNTC-1A" But then the signature line gets a little long, doesn't it? This message has been edited. Mr. Snell,
Good job on correcting your message board so quickly. And Also, good job on admitting the mistake and not trying to defend it. That shows you got character. Unfortunately you cannot run for president For all out there, If you are certified by your employer's written practice I think one of the correct terms are: - NDT Level 2 IR, MT, PT, etc... - Pdm Level 2 IR, VA - SNT-TC-1A Level 2 IR, MT, PT, RT,.... Later Gator |
