Is there a way to setup Mikron Mikrospec report generator so that the raw data file (sit) is embedded within the word file (in addition to the visual and thermal images).

Pete,
You should be able to: "Insert Object" in Word. Make sure you remove the path name from the file name in the object title. It makes the marker name too long. That will insert the file itself into the doc. The file should then be available from the Word doc to open with the appropriate program later, i.e.-MikroSpec. Word does not have to recognize an "object" file itself. It should associate it with the document for access later though; if that's what you have in mind. Of course, that object file will have no value to anyone without Mikrospec on their PC since that is just about the only program[I think?] that will read a *.sit file. Good Luck Dana |

Well, after all that I finally realized you were talking about the Report Generator which we abandoned almost from the git-go. We use Word with exported bitmaps or jpegs; or an html based reporting system[actually both] with preformatted reports for All technologies. In either case we keep the sit file for record purposes on system/network backups[multiple].
Sorry I wasn't more help. Dana |
