I am curious if anyone has any experience doing thermography on Clean in Place and Steam in place systems.
One of production department has a problem and the want to verify cleaning and sterilization throughout waht is essentially a complex plumbing system.

Most of it is 316L SS... tanks, plumbing, valves and such.

I am pulling together a plan and would appreciate any advice.

I have used Thermography to monitor and verify a caustic cleaning process in an Alumina Refinery. What are the pipes made of and are they insulated? Is there anything in particular you need help with.

Contact me by email and I will send you some pictures etc..

Bob:
I have not yet walked the system down, but if it is anything like all of the other CIP/SIP systems here at the company, it is a maze of 316SS pipes, some insulated some bare.
I was looking for a methodology. I have some thoughts, but I thought I would throw the question out here. So maybe I wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel, although I'm not opposed to reinventing the wheel...

I was looking for advice in approaching low emmissivity systems..
