I didn't know if this was the right place for this dicussion so I posted in both.

Due to the long periods between Infrared Testing Of our MCC's I decided to try using Ultra Sonics in the 480v MCC to see if I heard anything.
Well I did and now I have a dilemma. How do I classify the severity of the problems I heard. Most all of the brakers were quiet, only seven out of several hundred had any signs Tracking.

I guess I am unsure as to weather I should be very concerned or just concerned enough to write a work order for them to be checked at next outage.

How severe is it if I am hearing tracking?

I think for now I will write it up to have Infrared Brought in to verify Tracking problem exists.
