According to Flir's Service Dept the P640 camera was tested and can only handle using a SD memory card up to 1GB. Does anyone use a 2GB SD memory card for this particular camera and if so are there any issues with the data being saved on the SD card.
Also Flir P640 doesnt not support the SDHC Cards either. |

I would suspect that it will work, but that the caamera will be very slow if there is over 1gb of images on it, I cannot think of any reason why you would want more than 1gb of images on the card. I'm not too surprised that it dosent work with the SDHC cards, as users we always want more and more compatability and sometimes our desires grow quicker than the cameras.

We have many customer who simply use separate 1GB cards, either for different thermographers or for different routes.
While it is not a good idea to leave data on the card (vs. downloading it), it CAN be great to have past images on a card to use for comparison when you are back out on the same machine at a later date. I would also strongly recommend you run some simple measurement resolution tests on the camera to see how it performs. It is a great system and I've been surprised at the unexpected limitations on measurement resolution. Once you know what they are, it is easy to work within them and get good results, but without testing, you'll never really know.
