flint, take a look at the flxcam pro with the fusion integration provided by infrared solutions. www.infraredsolutions.com. I’m a user of this camera and when doing a comparison matrix for purchase we went with infrared solutions flexcam pro. we got the fusion upgrade when it became available.Very nice camera and does natural light images very well. the fusion function will let you overlay the IR over the natural light image. Makes finding what your looking at from a report so easy.

were also planning to buy one portable IR Camera and we ask one of the vendor to demo their unit. its from Thermoteknix System VisIR Ti200. The product is thermally sensitive to emissivity of the surface of the object to be scanned.
The scanned IR picture can be altered if the emissivity was changed.

Also how much it cost there in the U.S.

Dear Sir,

This mail is from India’s biggest power station, capacity 3260 MW. We have big coal yard and temperature of that yard is one of the biggest problem. Due to high temp, some time it catches fire. We have to put man power to look after it on continuous basis and they do water showering as per requirement.

For solving this problem, we have gone to one conclusion to have an on line temperature monitoring system. We want temperature mapping of coal yard in some monitor.

For the same, we want to procure one thermo graphic camera based system for temperature monitoring of our coal yard.

We have some high building near to coal yard where camera can be installed. Wiring from that building to control room has to be done by supplier.

Size of our coal yard is around 800 X 700 feet.

We don’t have much information about this system. We also want to know the name of supplier who can supply this system to us in India.

We will be requiring similar type of two more set up for our 400 KV switch yard temp monitoring.

Please feel free to ask any further query.

Waiting for your response.

With warm regards.

All thermal cameras are sensitive to emissivity, you will find that all of them with temperature measurement have an emissivity componsation capiability. Changing the emissivity, should not change the picture, but will change the measurement.

FLIR and Mikron (NEC) will both have good products that can do this work. You should also consider infrared line-scanners which may do it better at less cost. IRCON and Raytek may both have products that will do the job.

Let me know if I can assist further.
