"Ken Hendricks, the Janesville native who rose from roofer’s son to roofing-company billionaire, died this morning from injuries suffered in a fall at his Afton home Thursday night.
Hendricks apparently was checking on construction work above the garage of the home when he fell about 10 p.m. Emergency crews were dispatched to his house in the 4000 block of Eau Claire Road at 10:18 p.m." I wonder what type of checking he was doing at that time of night? Could it of been Thermography? It just goes to show that even the most experienced person can get into fatal accidents. All you roof inspectors out there keep safe and don't take anything for granted because you have the experience. Stick to your safety practices and no shortcuts. |

Hi guys,
This is really a good reminder for everyone who work on checking constructions.. Also it would be very helpful for others if such incidents were brought in this forum so that people will be more careful when they do their work.. By the way, which technique of Condition Monitoring have the highest possibilty of such dangers? In my opinion, Thermography.. Even though i'm a Vibration Analyst and taking vibration reading from machines in a rolling mill where hot steel bars can fly at any time!! Likes to hear others opinions.. May be you can change my mind!! Have a nice day and Happy New Year In Advance!! |

I bet he didn' he wear any safety harness? One looking at a drilling machine and the drill bit flew away yo hit his eye fortunately waring safety glasses. However, given a half day MC.
