I may have an opportunity to do some infrared on the Navy's dolphins and seals that are used for underwater warfare. My question is; Has anyone out there been involved with IR on marine mammals? I would like to get as much information I can find if possible.

I have seen several published papers on the subject. Check the archives of the infrared conferences -- ITC, Snell, Thermosense, IRInfo. I have also seen stuff on the web -- use google. You can also go directly to some of the marine aquaria - whether commercial, like Busch, or general, like the NY Aquarium.

Do they detect hot blood mammals' movement using thermography because sonar cannot detect them?
